Recording Policy

1. Intellectual Property & Original Work

Every live online and in-person class, workshop, curriculum, demonstration, and teaching method is the original work and exclusive intellectual property of Mayee Futterman. Your enrollment provides you with a personal, real-time learning experience. Instructional content, demonstrations, and materials are intended solely for the direct benefit of the participating student and may not be reproduced, shared, distributed, or repurposed.

2. Student Recording Guidelines

To protect original teaching methods and maintain a focused, present learning environment, recording of any kind by students is not permitted during live online or in-person sessions. This includes:

  1. Video or audio recording.

  2. Still photography of live demonstrations, techniques, or instructional materials.

  3. Screen captures or screenshots.

  4. The use of third-party AI transcription tools, automated meeting bots, or background capture software.

Capturing, recording, or photographing any portion of a class is permitted only with Mayee’s explicit, session-specific verbal or written permission.

3. Instructor Recording & Media Rights

Mayee may occasionally record, photograph, or film a live online, hybrid, or in-person session for educational, promotional, or archival purposes.

  1. Session Notice: Advance notice before class day is not required, but Mayee will always verbally announce at the beginning of the session that recording will take place.

  2. Consent by Participation: By attending a class or workshop, you allow Mayee to include your voice, likeness, image, video feed, and participation in published materials across various media.

  3. Opting Out: If you do not wish to be recorded or photographed you may choose not to attend the recorded session. Choosing not to attend due to recording does not qualify for a refund, credit, or class transfer.

4. Policy Compliance

Respecting intellectual property and classroom guidelines is essential for all participants. If an unauthorized recording, capture, or photograph occurs:

  1. Mayee may require the student to leave the session including ending the student's video link (e.g., Zoom).

  2. Registration fees for the session or series are fully forfeited and non-refundable.

  3. Mayee reserves all applicable legal rights and remedies under copyright and intellectual property law.
