Meet Mayee Futterman

Mayee Futterman teaching at The Mirman School, Los Angeles, CA.
Mayee Futterman is an award-winning Chinese Brush Painting artist and educator.
She makes Chinese Brush Painting accessible to first-time participants of all ages, while preserving the quality and substance of the art form.
For PreK through 12th grade, her teaching methhod removes shortcuts and teaches children to evaluate -- in real time -- their own work, stroke by stroke.
Students are active participants, not observers. Her accessible teaching method is designed to see progress quickly. Students leave every session with a finished painting and a feeling of accomplishment.
She’s taught thousands of students worldwide -- from age 4 to 98 -- at all skill levels, from colleges and universities to state and local institutional residencies, both in-person and live-online.
